Because the DWDM is fresh and powerful, it brought forth gigabit Internet protocol switching to India. Quite expectedly, it is the first of its kind in the country. And the utilization of DWM over a metropolitan area network is not yet common, for only Japan has done something like it in Asia.
Tata Broadband’s superior power capability, matched with a highly efficient fiber connection system, has made the company a legitimate carrier of India’s other Internet service providers. This means that the infrastructure that Tata broadband has is so vast and reliable that other Internet providers lease out lines and systems with them to provide similar network services such as GSM mobile, telephony, cable and video, data centers, and call centers to clients.

This is all wrong, I have been there customer and there service is worst ever, its just a nightmare to have tata`s broadband. I will request a million time DO NOT USE IT

Why don’t you try a tataindicom broadband connection and check it for yourself. You can get a feel of how much your life improves.
PS: Please don’t post such thing without varifying the ground realities, it may be mistaken by a serious user who is evaluting the service.

Hi friends,
This is Arnab – am a UNIX admin in an MNC in Bangalore. After my marriage (6 months back)i had to shift to a bigger house and unfortunately after i settled down i found NO other connection other than TATA (just a side note – that is exactly what TATA targets – providing connections at places where users dont have an alternative). I need to have Internet 24/7 for my work as i am oncalls sometime. I took the 2Mbps 5 GB limit – after 27 phone calls the cables were installed. I didnt know what i was stepping into. The person showed me the speed was more than 1.6 Mbps – wow i was so happy at that point of time
Next week the speed went down to 12kbps – that is in the month of June 07 and it has remained till 12kbps till the time the connection was active. I called the customer care 100+ times in a span of 3 months and NO response – everytime the CC people told me “they will get back to you within 1/2 hr”
I could still live with that as i could still get my work done. In the month of August from 8th till 14th, i started seeing huuuuge downloads on my account
I called the CC immediately and told them about it. As usual no actions had been taken – the logs showed i downloaded 2+ GB of data everyday – imagine – at a speed of 12kbps, when i was NOT at my home, TATA claims i download 2-3 GB data everyday? Also the downloads were at the time when i was not at home (i was in office) or after midnight. i thought the connection got hacked – but then the sales rep told me its bound to my MAC id. Also it was not a case of hacking becase with that speed it was not possible to download 2-4 GB within a span of 11 Hrs. They sent me a bill of 18500 and made my connection inactive.
In short:From 14th august till yesterday i have made 100+ calls and everyone told someone will come to your house and check it – the connection is still inactive, i have a pending bill of 18500, no one has got time to come to my house to check it for the last 62 days
On 3rd of October, 2007 – someone called me from TATA and said and i quote “i suggest you pay the bill or we will have to make you pay”
I called up the customer care again and went to the VSNL office travelling for 15 Kms and spoke to a lady who called the number back (from where the threatning call came) but the person acted as if he never even called me
Oct 23rd Oct, 2007 at around 4:00 went to TATA office in Jeevan Bhima nagar and spoke to a person there who said it has to be a backend problem and the TATA fellows started laughing listening to my bill amount (lol imagine)
Also i found that they automatically activated the connection and raised my bill to 19799. gosh!
On 23rd Oct 2007 i went to TATA office in Woods Street, Bangalore at 5:15 – but the office was empty – everyone already left for home (on a tuesday by 5 the manager left – no wonder their service is superb)
I called the Manager on 24th oct,2007 (today) and asked if he can check the server logs and let me know whats going on – he said he does not know all those things – all he knows is the bill came to 19799 and i have to pay that. Also he assured that he will take out that extra 1200 that they added “by mistake” (another false commitment)
We are forming a group against TATA and going to put them up in court for all this – please mail me if possible and lets start the revolution

Tata Indicom Broadband Connection is a worst thing to happen in anybodies life. There is nothing call client servicing. Its like waiting for Municipal tap water keep trying for hours to get the home page. To make it worst when call for helpline each one has a standard answer with no one taking responsibility to attend to the complain. It is so frustrating. And the sad part is we have paid the whole amount in advance therefore one is stuck with there services. My sincer advice to all. Stay away for Tata Broadband. Why increase blood pressure for such services. We all get conned sometimes in life. Belive me this one takes the cake.

Do not ever go for any tata Products then it might be caling card or broadbrand. service is worst and their call center ppls are getting salary to listen badwords from customers. such a big company and see some basic mistakes.
u launched a complain to tata call center. that is routed to your local office and those local engineers in ur area take action. what ever problem customer have these C catagory engineers checks – is that user online and if he is they close your complain with suitable reason they think. number two such a big company they dont have any software for customer service they mail periodically to local office with all the complaints cutomers registered to call centers, these ppls dont even call before closing your query/complain. they can only chk user is online or not they sont have any software to chk other details like IP conflict problem or any other. i ll suggest atleast for next 1 year dont go for Tata products – after that they might understand what is customer service is……….

i have launched more than 15-20 complaints to tata callcenter in last 1-2 months . today again my net got down. i called them and as my last complain was on i just asked them to chk my status – she said Sir ur complaint is on and on higher priority I said OK but as i know after launching complaint i shd get service within 24Hr and my last complain is almost some 5-6 days ago – she replied sorry for that sir but u r complaint is on higher Priority. i said ok regarding my complaints since my 1st i dint recived any call from your side.she replied Sorry for that sir – I said i ll wait for some more days and throw this tata broadbrand. silence……… — she- how can we help you sir/any other queries – i said thanks for your service and banged my phone.
this companies have customers in millions. and many ppls dont complain. they know max customer can do is stop using our products/service. customers dont have time to fight to this people. and they an taking advantage of this. tata worst services.

In one line u will be the biggest fool on this earth if you ever think of taking this connection.
Almost 500 Rs you will spend just complaining the customercare department and no action will be taken.
Never even think of trying taking tata indicombroadband connection

sunday they are not working they only listen to the comlaint but never implement
