Kerala

The state of Kerala is on the tropical Malabar Coast of southwestern India. It consists of 14 districts that make it the 21st largest state by area and 12th by population. The capital of the state is Thiruvananthapuram which is, also, the largest city of the state. It is also considered to be the most literate region of the country with a literacy rate of 90.92 percent, also; it has been rated as the least corrupted state of the whole country.

The main reason of this education boom is that there are a lot of schools and other educational institutes in the state that makes it easy for the people to avail the opportunity to get themselves educated. There are 7 universities and total of 286 schools that teach arts and science, the number of Art schools is really overwhelming. The people here are known as Kerlaities which is derived from the state’s name. As it is located at a specific place hence the climate is tropical in nature.

As the culture here is diversified, hence, a lot of languages are spoken; however, the main emphasis is on Malayalam. The cultural diversification is attained by the state as it has gone through several changes and different times with some important empires and dynasties. Mauryan Empire has the biggest influence on its culture as some of the remaining signs, traditions and culture can still be seen in some of its parts.

Living standard is quite good in the state as one indicator is the literacy rate which is also quite high for the women. Literacy rate for women is supposed be around 87.86% which is certainly amazing. Transportation facilities are also quite good which make is quite easy to come and visit this state. You can find three of the international Airports here, along with this; road facilities are quite impressive as well. You can also find a lot of other places that are the best spots for tourists that include beaches, hotels, rivers and much more. That is the reason why tourism is considered to be the one of the major industry in this state. Information technology, Fertilizers, oil refining are some of the other important and major industries.
