MizoramThe land of blue hills, Mizoram, is situated in the northeast of the India. Aizawl is the capital of the state and also the largest of the lot. It contains as many as eight districts and the basic language here is Mizo, however a lot of people do speak English as well. Also, an important thing about the state is that it is rated second with the 90.27 literacy rate that comes after Kerala.

Mizoram is a beautiful place with hills around; in fact, the variation in the colors of hills is so diverse that it is not seen in any other part of the India. Specially, the blue hills are quite specific about the region, hence, given the name of the land of blue hills, also, the Blue Mountain (Phawngpui) is considered highest of all. Along with hills, the natural beauty is at its very best, as the flora and fauna is quite rich and diverse in nature, hence, it confers a state of tranquility as a whole and really excites its visitors with the calming and soothing effects.

Sunsets and sunrise is the beautiful and exotic experience to have as when the sun comes out and sets in between the hills, the feeling can not be summed up in words. Hills, rivers and lakes are the basic of the state make it a beautiful and exhilarating place to visit. You can find almost 21 hills of different variety; along with this you can find the biggest river Kaladan with so many lakes throughout the state.

Also, the whole atmosphere becomes even more amazing and desirable to visit as the climatic conditions here are not so severe. This is the reason why the climate is neither to cold not too hot, just in between and perfect for anyone to come and visit at any time of the year. The reason of this mildness in the weather is Monsoons. That is also a reason that you will get plentiful of rain in these areas especially when they are under the influence of Monsoon.
