Jumpline.com is one hosting company that can offer a one-dollar web hosting service. The company takes pride in the Virtual Dedicated Server system that they employ. Incidentally, that technology provides for a lot of features than a regular virtual hosting package can offer.

About the company
With its headquarters located in Grove City, Ohio, Jumpline.com had thrived in the web hosting business since its inception in 1997. Currently, they are providing quality web hosting services to their target market. They have strong ties with both Sphera Corporation and Cogent Communication, the company they worked closely with so as to create an online service infrastructure that is worthy of praise and admiration.

Jumpline.com VDS Web Hosting

Why Jumpline.com?
As previously stated, Jumpline.com had pioneered Virtual Dedicated Server or VDS. VDS allows each website to function independently from others that are also hosted in the same physical machine. In essence, it gives clients the advantage of having their UNIX environment in their own web server. This can be considered as a big improvement from the regular Virtual Hosting system used by most web hosting service providers today. In a Virtual Hosting environment, every client uses the same web server, mail server, and the same file directory along with their fellow subscribers. And this is the reason why installation of custom applications becomes restricted. And with Jumpline.com’s VDS environment, issues like these are resolved.

Technical and Customer Support
Jumpline.com boasts of their optimum customer service. Their US-based customer service and technical support group are trained to answer the phone in less than a minute – which means you will never have to listen to a voice recording the repeats itself incessantly every time you call. They provide a toll-free, local, and an international telephone number to their clients. They can also be reached through email. Jumpline.com’s technical support group is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

Plan Features
Jumpline.com have five different hosting plans that potential clients can avail of. The personal plan, called the J1-VDS costs $10.95 a month and can host as many as 13 websites on a single account. The Home Business plan, J2-VDS, is priced at $15.95 monthly, hosting seven sites more than the personal plan. It also supports database utilization and e-commerce such as MySQL 5 and OpenSSL, which the personal plan don’t.

The two other plans, the J3-VDS and J4-VDS, are expected to be perfect for clubs, groups, and web developers. J3-VDS, priced at $23.95, offers a maximum of 30 websites while J4-VDSm, which costs $32.95, can carry as much a 40 websites.

The last plan, and also the priciest one, is the referred to as the J5-VDS. This plan is especially created to medium to large businesses and it can host an unlimited number of websites under one account. It’s basically an all-in account and only costs $44.95 per month.

I’ve been with Jumpline for over five years and I love them. Their servers are fast, management tools intuitive, customer support great and best of all - SSH access to configure your own server, just the way you want or need it. Jumpline has since day one and still to today be earning 10/10 from me overall.
