The 2008 Honda Civic Hybrid ranks in the fourth position, out of twenty eight in the list of Affordable Small Cars. This vehicle comes with a 1.3-liter four-cylinder engine that gives 110 horsepower and 123 pounds-feet of torque. Its handling and brakes could have been better as the handling feel a bit tight and the brakes need a bit of getting used to.

On the outside the 2008 Honda Civic Hybrid looks similar to the gas-engine civic. It has an aerodynamic shape which is due to its steeply angled roofline, which forces the windshield forward. Interesting exterior features are triangular turn signals in the side mirrors, sharply angled headlamp clusters, special badge on the rear and spoiler on the trunk.

The interiors of this vehicle offer comfortable front seats, but its rear seats can be a bit cramped. Though the back seats have nice upholstery, with a soft, chenille-like feel, yet they could have been much roomier. Similarly the cargo space offered which is 10.4 cubic feet, is much smaller when compared to other vehicle.

In terms of safety feature, this vehicle includes all standard safety features and has successfully passed government and insurance industry crash tests. The downside here is that its two tiered instrument panel could have been done much better and it get mixed reviews. The electric motor here is weak and the overall power is a bit on the low side, even though it is okay. The cargo space is quite small.
