Honda CR-V Review
On the initial, the Honda CR-V is a convenient, roomy and an easy to drive vehicle. It is very manoeuvrable in tight quarters which is quite surprising and handles well on winding roads and also it is stable at freeway speeds and even in stiff crosswinds.
The CR-V has the same basic structure as Honda civic which gives the CR-V the ride quality and handling of a car. Apart from being less expensive, the CR-V is smaller and more much manoeuvrable than a full-sized SUV.The Honda CR-V is offered in the market in either a 2WD or RealTime 4WD configuration. This car is perfect for the city. It is very quite and does not emit much noise. Also its compact body gives the owner the ease of parking the car even in tight spaces.
While riding on the highway the Honda CRV will provide a quite comfortable and smooth riding experience. The car is not disturbed by minor imperfections on the road due to the perfect functioning of the rack and pinion steering wheel.
The CR-V also comes with 5 speed transmission that can be either manual or automatic.
The CR-V is brilliantly crafted into a complete family veahicle. It is like a tall and roomy convenient wagon comprising of a very tight turning circle and with the inclusion of a 4WD system that maybe useful in various situations. The 4WD works on real-time mode. It starts with the two wheel drive more but immediately switches into four wheel drive whenever a slip occurs.
The Honda CR-V is a four-door SUV but is capable of seating up to five. There are three variants available, the LX, EX and SE. On the LX variant, there are power windows, locks and mirrors, cruise control, air conditioning, a CD player, rear heater ducts and a 12-volt accessory outlet which is mounted in the cargo area. The EX models add keyless entry, alloy wheels, a moon roof, steering wheel audio controls, and an outside temperature gauge and privacy glass. The SE includes heated leather seats and mirrors, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob and, on the outside, body-coloured bumpers, side mouldings, door handles and hard spare tire cover.
The Honda CR-V is driven by the 2.4-liter Honda’s i-VTEC architecture engine. While its power output is 156 horsepower and 160 pound-feet of torque. The acceleration is more than adequate in almost all situations. All CR-Vs possess the stability control, all wheel antilock disc brakes, side airbags for front passengers and head curtain airbags for front and rear passengers as standard equipments.
The rear quarters are comfortable even when considering the vehicle’s overall size. Each side of the 60/40-split bench seat can be moved forward or backwards to about 6.7 inches, and the seatbacks can also be reclined up to 45 degrees.
