Mahindra Ingenio Review
When people get the opportunity of buying a new car for themselves they generally tend to buy the automobile that suits their necessities best. For the purpose of going on a long trip with the family members or friends a big spacious SUV type of car would be the best. Considering these facts the recent edition of Mahindra’s products, the Mahindra Ingenio, is best suited for this purpose.
The car has a 2600 cc diesel engine with the displacement being the common rail-diesel type. The new Ingenio generates a maximum power up to 115 bhp at the rate of 3800 rpm and is complemented by the maximum torque generation capacity rising to 28.3 kgm at the rate of 1700 rpm. These features definitely enhance the characteristics of the car compared to its predecessors.
Talking of the mechanical features of the car it is pertinent to say that it is quite handy compared to its size. Maybe that is the reason why it may have been also called the Mahindra hybrid Ingenio. With a tire size of 235/70 R16, the Mahindra Ingenio has a turning circle radius of 5.60 meters. To further support these features the car has power steering added alongside great braking systems. The car contains disk brakes in the front and drums brakes at the rear and is capable of having 5 manual gear transmissions. The steering is basically adjusted by rake adjustment technique.
The various equipments of the car are automated and can be worked upon with the help of a simple remote. The central locking device along with the boot facility can be manipulated with the help of the remote. Even the fuel filler is automated and provides for the further ease of the passengers. In the interior the rear seats have armrests with cup holders and the windows are powered. The AC provides a great experience inside the vehicle although it does not have climate control attached to it.
Even if the car is great there is no point to boast it without a showy exterior. There are facilities of having external bumpers of the same color as the body with alloy wheels. On the outside the headlight is accompanied by fog lamps, which are quite handy on the wintry roads. The Mahindra Ingenio also consists of two trip meters and a tachometer. The rear mirror is fitted with a defogger to get better view for the driver in is rear view mirror, complemented by the rear mirror wipers. Although there is no sun roof the other features cope to make it up.
Within the car the driver seat can be operated manually as does the mirror on the door of the driver’s side. The rear seats can be folded on top of having an AC vent at the back. These with the various other facilities of having a leathered seat and music system with CD player allowing the play of MP3 provides a good experience. However, the safety measures including parking sensors and rear seat belts could be improved a little further.
