Tata Motors Spacio Review

Tata Motors recently announced the much hyped launch of their new entry level utility vehicle in the name of Tata Spacio Gold plus. It is the upgraded range of the original version of the Tata Spacio and through this new model, Tata Motors looks to enhance their customer experience in different areas like comfort, performance, convenience and fuel economy. Moreover with the new release of the Spacio, the company looks to increase its penetration in the fast growing family/personal vehicle segment in semi-urban market with the offering.
The new Spacio from Tata Motors comes with a 3 liter engine having the new DI technique and also gets turbo charged; so that, the maximum power and torque ratings gets raised to 70 PS and 223 Nm respectively. The new added features in the new Spacio give it a considerable improvement to its overall performance and thus the drivability of the vehicle has improved to a great extent.

The Spacio from Tata motors has got a much needed enhancement in its power which is accompanied by a considerable rise in the overall fuel efficiency of the vehicle by more than 15 %. Tata Spacio has been reported to deliver a best mileage in its class of 15kmpl under extreme test conditions. This has improved its key market requirement of the Indian automobile industry. The new Spacio also gets boosted by a much lower noise vibration and harshness and the best feature in this new variant lies in the fact that it has the best turning circle radius of 4.9 meters in its class.
Moreover, the Spacio from Tata Motors has been launched in all new 2 different trim levels. Both the levels of the Spacio have front bucket seats, soft touch steering wheel, refined interiors and new decals. The best part lies in the spare wheel hat has been relocated under the body thus providing an uncluttered and clean rear look. Both the variants of the Spacio come in two seating configurations, 8 + drivers and 6 + drivers. The comfort features that have been added in the new variant of Spacio include air conditioning, CD/MP3 music system and central locking with key less entry with an immobilizer. Besides, it is also equipped with top-of-the-line braking system and high-tech transmission and suspension system.
The new Spacio is targeted as the entry level variant for one of the most widely popular cars, Tata Sumo. In fact, Tata motors have reported selling a total of 47,893 vehicles which includes a huge number of 32,007 just from the Sumo family. With the Spacio, Tata motors are believed to target the semi-urban market and thereby penetrating the rapidly growing family vehicle segment. In fact, Tata Motors faces a lot of competition from other auto giants in the Indian Market namely, Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai and Fiat. In spite of such tough competition, the company has reported a remarkable growth of 26.4% from the previous year when the growth for the segment was only 13.4%.
