Toyota Camry Review

Hyundai LogoToyota CamryThe Toyota Camry is one of the top choices in family sedan class, the Toyota Camry has been holding the title of the best-selling passenger car in the U.S.

The reason is a good combination of stylish look, roomy, comfortable interior, soft, smooth ride and Toyota's reliability. Fuel economy also plays a very important role. Toyota Camry is one of the most reliable models available on the road. It's easy to maintain and Toyota parts and service are not very expensive. Toyota Camry has front-wheel drive with transverse-mount engine and also available with the four- and six-cylinder engine.Anti-lock Brakes or ABS are standard on all models starting from 2005.

The Toyota Camry is thoughtfully designed and sets new benchmarks in the levels of precision and workmanship. The Camry’s computer fluid dynamics gives it the best-in-class aerodynamic performance, with a co-efficient of drag of just 0.28. This cuts down wind resistance, minimizes wind noise at high speeds and greatly enhances fuel economy.

Toyota Camry has 2362 cm3 twin cam multi-valve VVT-I or variable valve timing-intelligent petrol engine. This advanced technology controls the timing of the valves for the maximum efficiency and generates a power of 104kW at 5600 rpm.Toyota Camry is equipped with an array of safety features, such as the Anti-lock braking system (ABS), Dual SRS airbags, Electronic brake force distribution, and Front and side impact protection.

Everything is simple and convenient, nothing is superfluous. The Front seats are very soft and comfortable. There is plenty of room even for a tall adult. The Tilt steering is easily adjustable. The Interior fit and finishes are extremely good. The trunk is spacious and its volume can be increased by folding the rear seats down. The Rear space is normal for three tall adults.

Toyota Camry is powered by either a four-cylinder or the V6 engine Models from 1992 to 2002 had the two point two liter, DOHC 16-valve four-cylinder engine that might seem slightly underpowered but was vary reliable.

From 2002 the Camry received new 4-cylinder 2.4-liter DOHC 16-valve engine with Variable Valve timing with intelligence (VVT-i) delivering 157 horsepower at 5,600 rpm. The cylinder block and the head are made from an aluminum alloy to reduce weight. The timing belt was replaced by a chain to reduce maintenance costs (no need to replace a timing belt). The engine offers good low-end torque, reasonable power and good fuel economy.

The Camry is known for a very smooth and soft ride. And what's very important when buying a used car, the Camry is very reliable.
