Toyota Qualis Review

The Toyota Qualis brings along with it Toyota's formidable reputation for reliability and value and brings great joy to the many that had to tolerate India's poor existing range of utility vehicles that were unreliable, uncomfortable, and noisy and were hard to drive. The qualis is roughly the size of a Sumo with sensible clean lines and a big top-hinged rear hatch. The Qualis delivers low fuel consumption, driving about eighteen point one two km/l and with a fuel-tank capacity of 53 litres. The best value as measured by ARAI is 50km/h, at a constant speed with the A/C off. In the Toyota Qualis, power and fuel economy are wholly compatible.

The dashboard looks like a luxury car and comes with imitation wood paneling on the deluxe GST version with big and well illuminated instruments. The seating arrangements of 8 or 10 seats are flexible in three different rows. The AC is very effective with a powerful 3-speed blower in the dash and the option of an extra roof-mounted blower unit. Aside from the usual blower unit it has hi and low buttons for extra cooling.

Toyota's latest technology for passive safety includes a crushable zone also called the Crumple Zone. The front part of the body is designed to crumple so that it absorbs any impact, thereby protecting the cabin in which you and your family sit. Additionally, three-point ELR seatbelts are fitted as standard for the driver's and front passenger's seats.
