Nokia 8800 Sirocco edition Mobile Phone Review
The Nokia 8800 Sirocco edition device is beautifully designed with sufficient curves that make it a pleasure to hold. It is 107mm long and 45 mm wide. It has a thickness of 17.5 mm and weighs only about 138g. It has a Tri-band GSM coverage up to five continents. It has a 262,144 TFT display, Premium user interface exclusive to the Nokia 8800 Sirocco Edition and also exclusive user interface themes.
The device has an integrated 2 megapixel camera, 3D image engine for enhanced graphics, video recording and streaming. It has an integrated FM radio and an integrated Digital Music Player with supports MP3 and eAAC formats. The phone also has Multimedia Messaging Service for receiving, editing and sending messages with video or music. It also has the capacity to send messages in 47 languages. It has Instant Messaging and Presence–enhanced contacts where one can check the status of friends before calling them. The phone also IMPS instant messaging functionality.
The phone has Bluetooth version 2.0 with Enhanced Data Rate connectivity, Remote over-the-air device to device synchronization with syncMl and Local Synchronization with PC using PC suite. It also has xHTML browsing over TCP/IP, Full OMA Digital Rights Management including forward lock for content protection, combined delivery, separate delivery and superdistribution. It also has MP3, AAC, 64-chord/voice polyphonic ringing tones.
The Nokia 8800 has speed dialing, automatic redial, call waiting, call hold, call divert, call timer and conference call capability. The phone’s digital services include Over-the-air downloading of graphics, ringing tones, wallpapers and themes. It also has video streaming services and ringing tones composed by renowned music composer, Brian Eno. The device has an integrated handsfree speaker and Enhanced Voice Commands including Speaker Independent Number Dialing.
Its other services include Premium Upstart Service which enables personal assistance for free download of relevant content to the phone including Settings, UL theme, Business Card, Video and Back-up from previous phone. The Nokia 8800 Sirocco Edition has 128 MB internal NAND Flash memory, a talk time of up to 2.75 hours and a standby time of up to 240 hours.
