The Nokia N93 was first officially announced in the market in April, 2006. The highlight of this phone is the Carl-Zeiss optical zoom in combination with a Vario Tessar lens which is truly mind-blowing. And along with video capturing in VGA resolution at a relatively efficient frame rate similar to digital camcorders, Nokia n93 is most certainly a delight to own.

Though the keypad is a little uncomfortable, the Nokia N93 is pretty solid in construction. The battery of the smartphone provides up to 3 hours and 7 minutes of talk time inWCDMA networks and up to 5 hours in GSM networks. It has a 1.1” external display with 128 x 36 pixels resolution and 65k colors. Icons for messages that have come in as also calls that are missed are displayed on the screen. Signal reception bars and also battery status are also indicated on the display screen. Also the callers’ name or number is also displayed on the screen.

The main display is about 2.4” diagonally and has a capacity of 262k colors. Pictures taken with this phone have clear images and colors. The signal reception of the Nokia N93 is almost perfect with good loudspeakers and even better ring tone volumes.
It has a 50Mb internal memory and a mini SD memory card slot which can reach up to 2 Gb capacity.

The Voice Recognition system is another fine feature of the Nokia N93 phone. It responds to most of the voice commands that you give and is used for starting applications and dialing contacts. The phonebook uses the phone’s free memory and therefore holds a huge number of entries. Also specific ring tones can be assigned to contacts of our choice.

The Nokia N93 works with POP3 and IMAP4 protocols and the email client handles most user needs in connection with email communications rather well. The Music Player of the phone has an equalizer, supports Playlists with excellent loudspeakers. It also has a Real Player, Flash Player as also FM Radio application. It also has a good Picture And Video gallery where you can even choose a picture and zoom it in up to 4 times for detailed viewing.
