Dealing with Acne
Acne is a term used for various symptoms such as pimples, whiteheads and blackheads. It is a condition where the pores of the skin become clogged and the person gets inflamed and non inflamed lesions.
Acne is mostly common in people who are in the adolescent years, but it can follow some people into middle age and beyond that too. Women can have flare up at 25 or 35 years old and even older. Also dirty hair or skin does not cause acne. Sex, either too much of it or little does not cause acne.
You must never try to squeeze pimples or whiteheads. It will add to inflammation .You may cause an infection. A pimple may or a couple of weeks but it will always go away. A white head is a non inflamed plugged pose. The core of a white head is much smaller than the core of a blackhead. A pimple naturally forms from the rapture of a white head pore wall.
Acne is classified in four grades, the first being a mild one with a few whiteheads and blackheads. The fourth and most serious grade consists of many whiteheads, blackheads, pastules, nodules, and cysts. Grade – four acne is a state where severe inflammation takes place and it becomes red or purple. And its a sign that you should see a dermatologist. Acne can also be related to menstruation. There is an entity called premenstrual flare of acne, whereby in some ladies there is increase in acne just before menstruation. This is again due to rise in a certain hormone.
The two physiological factors which can have beneficiary on acne are 1) Age 2) Pregnancy. As the age of the person advances, the severity of acne can decrease in many cases. Pregnancy can help acne because it is a high aoestrogen state, and oestrogen has ant-testosterone action. But marriage by itself does not affect acne.
The key factor of acne outbreaks found in women is her makeup. Try to avoid oil based makeup. The oil is usually a derivative of fatty acids that are more effective than your own fatty acids. An advice to a person prone to acne is that before putting any make up or cream on fore- head, checks, nose or chin, apply it on wrist and try washing it off without soap. If it can be washed off without soap then you can use it on face, not otherwise. Exceptions to this rule are lipsticks, eyeliners, eye shadows and mascara; because they are applied to the areas where acne does not show.
You must not squeeze pimples or whiteheads. Acne spreads if you try to squeeze a pimple that you may see on the face. Squeezing can cause an infection. You cannot do anything to a pimple to make it go away faster. A white head is a non inflamed plugged pore. When you squeeze the whitehead, the wall of the pore could break and the contents could leak out onto the skin and cause a pimple. A pimple naturally forms from the rapture of a whitehead pore wall.
