Barbara Bach Biography
Barbara Bach is best known for her role in the James Bond movie ‘The Spy Who Loved Me’ (1977) and ‘Force 10 from Navarone’. Bach. She is the wife of musician Ringo Starr who was once a drummer for the Beatles.
Interestingly, she attended a concert given by the Beatles at Shea Stadium in 1965, but it was only 15 years later that she came to know her future husband Ringo Starr. She is by far a stunning actress with amazing looks. Her father was an Austrian Jewish and her mother was Irish Catholic. Prior to becoming a famous actress she was into modeling and become a top model, much sought after for her beauty and vitality.
In 1966, she married met Italian businessman Augusto Gregorini in New YorK. Moving from America to Italy, she went to to have children. In 1968 Francesca Gregorini was born and in 1972 she gave birth to a son Gianni. Prior to having her second child, she acted in the mystery movie ‘La Tarantola dal ventre nero’, in which she co-starred along with Bond girls, Claudine Auger and Barbara Bouchet. She also continued in smaller roles in Italian Films. Her marriage did not last and she separated from Gregorini in 1975, going back to the United States, with her children.
It was in 1977, she got her big break with the film ‘The Spy who loved Me’. This film brought her international fame. In 1978, she gave a brilliant performance in ‘Force 10 from Navarone’. She met Ringo Starr in 1980 during the making of the movie ‘Caveman’. In 1981 she married Ringo starr. Since her marriage she has not made any movies. The couple, made Aspen Colarado as their home.
In recent years she was seen to accompany her husband on his tours. In 2006 however, she unfortunately broke her leg, while celebrating her 59th birthday. Immediately rushed to the hospital by her husband Ringo, she had to undergo surgery for repairing her fractured right femur.
