Belinda Emmett Biography

Belinda Emmett is an Australian actress. Her is most remembered for her roles in the T.V series as ‘All Saints’ and ‘Home and Away’. Born in born in Gosford, she grew up in a family with three siblings.

It was while she was playing the part of Rebecca Fisher in ‘Home and Away’ that she came to be diagnosed with Breast Cancer. She underwent surgery to removed the malignant tumor. Following the surgery she underwent, six weeks of radiotherapy. In 1999, she left the ‘Home and Away’ series and took up the role of Jodi Horner in ‘All Saints’. She appeared in all nine episodes of ‘All Saints’ between the years 2000 and 2001.

She was also into doing music. She released a cover of ‘Off the Wall’, by Michael Jackson in the year 1998. She also did a duet with Marcia Hines ‘Shower the People’. It appeared in Marcia Hines’s 2004 album ‘Hinesight - Songs From the Journey’. Her first album was etitled ‘So I Am’. It reached the nuber ten posiiton in the ARIA Charts.

In 2005, she married television presenter Rove McManus. Rove had been her longtime boyfriend. Belinda Emmett’s career and life as cut short when she died unfortunately in 2006, at St Vincent's Hospital in Sydney. She checked into the hospital because she had been experiencing stroke-like symptoms. Cancer has come back and spread to other parts of her body, leaving very little to be done to recuperate from it. She was 32 when she passed away.
