This is a movie of a serious nature. The genre is drama. Descent is written and directed by Talia Lugacy.Trybe films and Descent have handled the production for the movie. This is another movie, which involves the life of youth and their perspective of life.

The story is all about a girl Maya, a smart, outgoing student at a co-ed college.Destiny plays its part on her life, when she meets Jared at a party one night. She gets closer with him.One night, when they meet up at his place for a romantic date, things get out of control and Jared rapes her aggressively. Maya, now shattered with shame, retreats to her own world and stays aloof from her family and friends.The movie proceeds with Maya’s rebuilding of life.She then makes a new life for herself, with her family and friends, only after meeting Adrian at a DJ night.

The movie is scheduled to release on the 10th August 2007.The film has been shot at the Farileigh Dickinson University, New Jersey.The casting includes, Rosario Dawson, Chad Faust, Marcus Patrick, Christopher DeBlasio and many others.Christopher LaVasseur has handled the cinematography and Frank Reynolds has done the editing of the movie.

The movie is for a mature audience, who can relate to the trauma that is undergone by rape victims.It not a family oriented movie and will entertain youngsters in a better way.
