Shannon James

Shannon James was born in Holland, Pennsylvania in February of 1987. She was the Playmate for May 200 she preceded Giuliana Marino and then succeeded by Brittney Binger. Shannon got the job at Playboy via radio shock jock Howard Stern, One of Shannon’s friends had sent in some pictures of Shannon to Howard’s show and she was chosen out of many to come in. they gave her an opportunity to test. Shannon first turned down the offer but then the show told her they would have a Playboy Photographer on hand to take her pictures.

Going on the Howard Stern Show really began Shannon’s Playboy Pictorial. She did her first shoot and in September of 2006, Shannon got a call telling her she made the cover for May 2007. Shannon began attending parties at the Playboy Mansion, but she loved the Halloween party where she met people like actor Luke Wilson and Pauly Shore. She befriended Miss March Tyran Richards and Miss February Heather Rene Smith.

Shannon grew up in a normal life and graduated from The Council Rock South High School and started taking classes in Florida before she moved back home where she now lives with her parents. Shannon is taking online classes and majoring in Marketing. Those plans may have to be on hold because when her cover comes out in May, James will begin a promotional tour, doing magazine signings and other appearances.

When Shannon decided to pose for Playboy they put her under a 2 year contract and she will continue to do appearances all depending on if she feels they are tasteful and how popular she becomes stemming from the cover. She is slightly aware of what happens when you become popular, you can’t prepare you just have to learn to roll with it. There may be other business opportunities coming her way but for the next 2 years, Playboy will screen all of them and will not let any strange or weary business opportunities come her way.

By posing for Playboy, it is a step to casting calls and other opportunities. Playboy is a steeping stone in the right direction for people if you take advantage of it look what it did for Pamela Anderson and the late Anna Nicole Smith. Shannon will have to see what new opportunities come her way when her cover comes out in a few days.
