The primary aim of a job interview is to assess the abilities and skills of the applicant that are relevant to the job offered. The interview may include a great variety of questions; however there are few questions that are frequently asked questions during an interview session. This article sheds light on these frequently asked interview questions.

Tell me about yourself

Typically this is a general question that is asked in almost all types of interviews. This type of question primarily aims at exploring professional information and not at all intended for investigating about any sort of personal information. So the discussion should be limited with educational background professional experience, and the other relevant points concerning professional qualifications as listed in the resume.

Why are you interested to apply for this position?

The primary requirement for answering this question is a thorough understanding of the company in which you are applying for a job. To answer this question, you may need some important points such as industry, size, historical background, culture, mission and philosophy.

Tell me about your strengths

While answering this question, you may have the opportunity to describe your potentiality, your skills and abilities.

Tell me about your weaknesses

Many applicants are very fluent about listing up their strengths; however, they are not very comfortable about the idea of their own weaknesses. This is not a very rational theory that someone has so many potentialities, but he doesn’t possess any weakness. Many employers do not like this idea even. So be always straight about discussing about your weaknesses. Your honesty counts.

Are you flexible?

While answering this question you should try answering from real-life and result-oriented experience.

What is your favorite past time?

Do not underestimate any question asked during interview session. When the interviewer asks you this type of question, he generally tries to investigate your personality traits, your ability to interpersonal communication and whether you could be fit for the organization.

What is your salary expectation?

In fact, it is always better to provide a range of salary expectation depending on your credentials.

    i disagree, you should never say a range of salary. if u say a range than you are basically telling the person what you feel is your worth and depending on your sistuation you might quote low and they might want to give you higher, but since you quoted low they will give you that salary. I believe the correct answer is that it is always negotiable
