Job Interview Questions
Job interview questions typically vary depending on the job functions. That means the quality of questions largely differ on different professions. Again there are different types of questions. Some of the questions are open type question such as “tell me a little about…”. On the other hand, there are closed types of questions as well, when the interviewer specifically seeks factual information concerning some particular study or events. Job interview questions may comprise of hypothetical or critical thinking questions such as “if this is the thing, what will be your step of action?” Some questions may be leading type which seems more or less logical in structuring. The interviewer may place multi-barreled questions as well which includes two or more interlinked questions. Some questions may focus on behavioral aspects during which an applicant needs to assess future possibilities on the basis of past experience.
Job Specific Questions
Quite obviously, job interview questions must comprise job specific questions. At this time, the interviewer may inquire about your specific abilities, personal attributes, and knowledge regarding the job you have applied for. Additionally, he may also ask you about your significant achievement in life, your ability and style to meet deadline, short and long term goals, major challenges faced, etc. The interviewer may also ask about the reason of your willingness to work for the organization you have applied, your knowledge about the concerned organization, etc.
Behavioral Questions
At present many organizations employ behavioral questioning technique during an effective interview session. This type of interview focuses on the idea to forecast the future performance by examining past and present situation and skills sets in a similar condition. Behavioral questioning technique is found to be really effective in job interview questions mainly because of two types of reasons. The candidates who place special attention on behavioral interviewing technique perform well during interview. Secondly, behavioral interviewing technique can work well with inexperienced candidates, but also top candidates can also be identified well with this technique. While answering behavioral questions, you need to keep your attention on different aspects, mentioning a specific recent event, detailing of your role and its significance in the event mentioned and sharing the outcome of the result.
