Tips for Successful Job Interviews
In recent decades a dynamic change has been observed in the area of job interview. Many organizations make this process utterly complex by incorporating different psychological tests, role plays, aptitude tests, stress taking ability, etc. In most of the cases it is simply beyond any pre-defined structure. However, here are few tips for successful job interviews.
Prepare a lot
It is for sure that you are not going for an interview without having enough knowledge about the organization, the post you have applied for, the job responsibilities etc. However, you should always make yourself more confident by preparing a lot. Preparing a lot implies enough practicing. When you have finalized your strategy, you should concentrate on practicing them.
Be particular
You should have enough understanding what you are expecting from the job you are interviewing for. You should also have clear idea about your future goal.
Realize your strengths
Many interviewers ask questions regarding strengths and weaknesses. You should be sure of realizing own strengths and mentioning it during interview process. Also you should clearly depict the link between your strengths and the relative potential for the post you have applied for.
Confident in telling weakness
This is a tricky part of interview. You can follow either of two ways while describing your weaknesses. In one way, you can actually mention your strengths but in the form of weakness, such as ‘I am little workaholic, I can’t take rest till my hands are free’, in this way, you are actually mentioning your strengths and promoting your chance of getting absorbed. In other ways, you can also mention your weakness from your past experience while putting emphasis on some other aspects.
Be straightforward about previous fire
If you have fired from your last job, you should speak off in a straightforward fashion without a ‘charge’ against the authority. This entails your ability to accept the reality.
Talk clearly about your future goal
The current economy is so dynamic that it is really difficult to predict the specificity in respect to distant future. So it is always better to answer in a more generalized fashion. For example, if you are asked about your position in next five years, you can say to see yourself qualified in every phase of a particular industry instead of mentioning your plan to be a senior leadership in the company.
