Rimi Sen
Rimi Sen is a Bollywood actress who was born in the year 1981. She was based in Kolkatta, but later moved to Mumbai on account of her film career. Her original name is Shoumitra Sen.
Her career began with modeling. She was noticed by director Priyadarshan when she was auditioning for Coca Cola advertisement. She was offered a role by him in the movie “Hungama”. Later, she had the chance to act with two of the most superior stars in Bollywood, Amitabh Bachchan and Hemamalini in the movie “Baghban”. The movie “Dhoom” turned out to be a huge success. Other movies of hers which have hit the box office were “Phir Hera Pheri” and “Golmaal”. She has played a minor role in the blockbuster movie “Dhoom 2”.
Other movies include “Garam Masala”, “Kyon Ki”, “Deewane Huye Paagal”, “Airport”, and “Hattrick”. Her upcoming movies include “Dost-My Best friend”, “De Taali”, “Dhoom 3”, “Yahan Ke Hum Sikander”.
She has made a controversial statement with regard to Africans and that had sparked off a little tension. She had told that the director of Golmaal had done a wonderful job and that, he has the potential to make even a black African look beautiful. Her remarks were highly condemned.
