What is a Blog : Weblog History & Introduction

There have been several times we were requested for more information on Blog, history and their advantages. In short Blog is nothing but a website where the latest post stays on the top and the older posts keep moving into the archieves, something similar to a newspaper or a magazine where the latest news are published on the front page and the older posts are shown in the later section.

The first web blogs were started in the year 1998 and now there are millions of blogs updated daily by online bloggers all over the world on different topics and reviews. The content posted on the blogs are named as posts and the posts are listed under categories or achieves section which are helpful for the users in visiting the whole web blog.

If some posts are posted under the category 'blogs' all the posts under this category would be listed in latest to oldest order, this is the order the posts are made and listed in blogs. The next section in blogs is the Comments part where the blog viewers can add their own views/replies regarding the topic which is after approval shown under the post.

With the latest search engine algorithm, content posted in the blogs are instantly indexed by search spiders and bloggers get instant traffic from search engines. Another advantage of blogs is that they are based on CMS[Content Management System] and the bloggers dont need to work out on inter linking the content much as compared to static websites.
