Example of How to Write a Professional Resume

Writing a resume is not easy but at the same time it is not very difficult also. You will have to remember the following top 5 things so that your resume gets noticed.

* You should include only those past employment experiences which are relevant to the present job for which you are applying. Say for example you are looking for a managers’ post then in your resume talk about the experiences which you have as a manager. Do not mention the experiences which you had when you were an ordinary employer and not a manager.
* Your resume should be great and smother and also spell check the final draft of your resume.
* Spotlight your accomplishments and use keywords. If you are a computer technician then you will have to bold any certifications with regard to computer.
* Specify all your achievements and any awards if you have won in your past employment.
* If you are giving your contact information then specify the time you can be reached. Whether you can be contacted during the day or at night. Also mention your current work phone number if the circumstances allow you to do so.

Another thing you should remember when creating a resume is to give accurate information. Never hide anything nor tell a lie. As most companies test you before entering and if you had lied then you may not be able to do the job.

The next important part of your resume is the objective part in your resume. You will have to include your objectives immediately below the top section of the resume. The objective portion contains a few sentences which talks about your position and the position for which you are applying for. You major qualifications can also be mentioned in your objective portion.

Your objective part can be either in sentence form or in the form of bullet points. Either form will have the same effect. One thing you will have to remember is the purpose for which you add your objective and it has to be as simple as possible. The objective part is only to tell your prospective manager about you in brief. This part will also give your resume a professional look.

Keep in mind the following when drafting a resume:

* Research and personalize your resume so that it reaches your employer. You will have to research about the company and tailor make your resume depending on it.
* You will have to identify and at the same time prove your skills. You can quote your experience in which you might have used that skill and also remember that if you do not have work experience then you can talk about your home life.
* You will have to show how much of a difference to the company you can make if you are selected. If you are talking of your past experience then you will have to show them how you made a difference in the past project.
