I have taken a broadband connection in december 06 inspite of reading much negative about them i have decided to give a try and go for prepaid to be on safe side.I got it after repeatedly calling them for 27days for activation.It worked fine for 5 months after which they suspended my account saying that cheque has bounced.The cheque was infact debited by VSNL and i set mails attaching my account details which shows that the cheque is debited.For the past 1week i am repeatedly calling them but they keep on giving new complaint numbers (2399866 latest)saying that the problem will be solved soon but no action is taken regarding it.They find new ways of harrassing customers.I have opted for prepaid believing that there wont be much problem,but they seem to devise new plans to suspend accounts on one pretext or other.My account is due to expire in a day and i have 13hours of surfing time left,but i m unable to use it as account is suspended.
so my sincere suggestion is NEVER EVER GO FOR TATA INDICOM BROADBAND IN YOUR LIFE.It is a worse kind of service i have ever seen.

Please dont go for any Tata products, they dont have good customer support itself. i purchased a VDATA card for internet connection and after one month also it is not activated and i cant use it but they send me bill for that month. no service, nothing i have not read comments in this site, those fellows sucked my blood. bastards they are the real cheaters no other words also to scold them, better avoid their products
TATA INDICOM SUCKS
Tata Indicom can even offer 100GB per month because its assured that u will never be able to get connected and use the connection. Go for Tata Indicom if u have so much money to throw away. attractive rates. problem is that u will have to spend double the amount on phone begging these people for service. i have taken a pre-paid connection. (Super Value Offer). After 3 months, I could not even consume 50MB till date though they offered 1GB /month because i hardly got connection. itz fast but average connectivity is 2 hrs in one week. When u call the service people they reply like Server problems, wait for 2 days / Server problem solved, tomorrow you send me an SMS / Our technicians are too lazy yaar, what to do? / All technicians are on leave, what to do? / what to do" / "Cabling problem sir, What to do" / "I am sleeping sir" / "I have a headache sir, can you call me tomorrow" / "Your problem is not yet solved sir? Our server is perfectly ok now sir. I will send somebody to check the cabling sir / I am on leave sir" They lack basic manners while they take somebody's money and offer a service. Though they offer connection within two days, I got it after 4 weeks. After all these issues, i called up the sales guy as if I am a new customer and I want to take one connecton. He offered a connection with in 2 days. I asked him "What if not happens with in 2 days?". I was completely impressed of his 300% assurance of a connection in 2 days (luckly I didn’t apply for another connection and wasted my money!!!!!). TATA INDICOM CHEATERS
Loose Money by Plug 2 Surf Whiz from Tata Indicom
They say Switch to Tata Indicom and Experience the Difference, yes I did, I lost good amount of money without surfing the web, I had to waithours togeather at the Bangalore Tata Income customer Center on Richmond Road to get a clarification on my usage, the bill was no closer to my usage, There was no match between my records of logging in which is provided by Tata Indicom and their server Logging in monthly bill, The Manager was very casual - Mr. Madan, He is not able to justifiy how there can be a mismatch, none of the Tata officials are responding to the calls, finally they said they would get back to me in 24hrs, Till date no response, I am still in a fix by shelling out good amount of money for all the Tata Indicom Problems, Hence I would strongly recommend not to experience the difference with such huge cost.
Tata Indicom cheats - charges without service
I used have Infinity - 256 plan in Bangalore. I shifted to a new address in Bangalore and requested for a shift of location online on October 9th. But the feasibility was taking very long. So, after waiting for about 15 days, I asked to suspend my service. I was billed for those days where I did not use the service.
At the end of October, I was told that the connection is not feasible at my new address. So I requested to shift the service to Vizag. Again they did the feasibility check and reported in the second week of November that they would give the connection. On December 1st, my account is activated, but the service is not restored. The service is finally restored on December 14th.
I was charged without service during December 1st to December 13th. When I asked for credit for that period, Mr.Reddy at Vizag office told me that the delay is usual during shifting. Does that mean it is usual for Tata to charge without providing the service? I got the same answer when I called their call center too.
What do you call someone who charges you without providing the service and then tells you that it is normal and they do it for everyone? I call him cheater and a big one at that.
Things don't seem to have changed much in India in the last 10 years. Same callous attitude from companies. I won't ask anyone not to consider Tata Indicom, but be aware of how shabbily you may get treated.
